I was thinking I was finished. This was it my swan song, my “so long and thanks for all the fish” moment. They had talked about passion. I only had frustration. My self made job had become a burden, a wedge, a stitch in my side. I didn’t love it anymore. The thought of working on it didn’t thrill me. I felt stuck. I was burnt out and had no desire to work on my blog anymore.
As I drove home from the blogging conference I had just spoken at I began to wonder what I should do. This was my second year speaking at this conference about video and video production. But my blog wasn’t about video – it was about sewing. Was I missing something here? Why on earth I am speaking about video when there are sewing classes across the hall that are part of the conference? Maybe it’s time to try something new.
I had taken a class on eBooks – so yes I could most definitely do a book on video. But trying to distribute a book about video on a mid tier sewing blog didn’t make a whole lot a sense. So I should have a website just for that right? That makes more sense. But a book wouldn’t be enough I should have some worksheets to help people with the process. And oh, I should have videos because it’s just silly trying to teach someone a visual medium with just text right?
This is how my crazy brain works. It starts with a small simple thing and turns it into a massive empire in a matter of a few thoughts.
So I’m trying something new. I’m launching a new website and business to help others with this thing called video. Join me – let’s get you making good clean video!
